The Doñana natural area faces increasing pressure on water resources and biodiversity due to intensive agricultural and human activities. ReNatgro responds to these challenges by testing practical solutions that combine efficient fertigation practices, biodiversity-friendly farm renaturalisation and digital tools.

The project works with representative farms producing strawberries, berries, citrus and olives across the Doñana area of influence. Demonstration actions include water-efficient fertigation systems, restoration of non-productive farm areas using native vegetation, biodiversity infrastructure, ecosystem monitoring and digital tools supporting sustainable agricultural management.
ReNatgro also integrates farmer training, agrotourism initiatives and blockchain-based traceability approaches to strengthen the transition towards a more resilient and environmentally compatible agricultural model in Doñana.
